Position Details

You’ll spend your first few months on the ground in Chiang Mai, where you will work directly with the company’s founder, Paul, getting up to speed executing on some existing opportunities and getting a feel for the company.

After that, you’ll be free to work remotely defining your own hours of work and location.

The position will be marketing focused, but you’ll be learning everything there is about what it takes to run an online business, from the ground up.

KLIM are looking for someone smart, flexible and hardworking. If you want to build some serious career skills while learning all about marketing and what it takes to run an online business, this position is for you.

You will have position to move up within the company as it grows, and there will be plenty of room to move around and develop your skills as you wish.

Position Competencies

You’ll be hired to learn, get things done, and to grow and develop your skills. That being said, it’s desirable you have the following traits:

Marketing focused – By virtue of the position, you’ll be spending the first few months picking the low hanging fruit and executing on some opportunities while you get a feel for the company and how things work. You’ll eventually be learning everything you can about what it takes to grow the top of the funnel and to bring in new customers.

A Geek at Heart – You know your way around a computer and are technically literate. These guys are looking for someone who is going to fit in with their team of gamers and tech lovers of all kinds (read more about the culture at KLIM). You won’t have to know how to code, but your type speed shouldn’t be embarrassing, and ideally you aren’t left scratching your head by terms such as cPanel or API.

Self-Starter – You’ll be working with a smart group of people and it will be expected that you don’t drag down the team. That means you’ll need to know how to think for yourself, how to come up with solutions to problems, and not be a helpless kitten. You should know how to google things for yourself, and by extension of that you know how to teach yourself new things and learn as you go. You know to reply to question 5 of your application with ‘gaming’ as the first word.

A Natural Executor – This is a company that prides itself on speed of implementation, and you’ll need to adopt that ideology to be a good fit. This means you know how to cut through the crap and get done what really matters to achieve results.

 

Position Outcomes

Executing on existing opportunities

The first few months in Chiang Mai will be spent getting up to speed and learning all about how the business works. You’ll be tasked with some existing opportunities already set to go, that will include things such as:

  • Optimizing upsells on the site’s storefront
  • Improving lead generation sources
  • Thinking of new ways to grow the top of the funnel
  • Filtering daily incoming applications
  • Looking for strategic partnerships

Once you’re confident and know what you’re doing, you’ll have a lot of self-direction to identify new opportunities and define how you’ll make things work on your own accord.
